You will need:
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (not toasted)
- 1 tablespoon beeswax
- 1/4 teaspoon lavender (15 drops)
- 1/8 teaspoon tangerine (10 drops)
- 1/8 teaspoon sandalwood essential oil (10 drops)
- 1/8 teaspoon rosewood essential oil (10 drops)
Place a heatproof container inside a small pan.
Fill the pot with 1 to 2 inches of water, until it is halfway up the side of your glass jar.
Put olive oil, sesame oil and beeswax in the glass jar. Bring the water to a gentle boil.
Using a wooden stirrer such as a chopstick, stir the oils around gently until they have fully melted.
Remove the pot from heat. Add the essential oils to the melted blend. Gently stir with your wooden utensil until the essential oils are completely incorporated.
Pour the oil mixture into a Kilner® Clip Top Jar.
Allow to cool, then close the jar and label.
Rub on temples, forehead, hands, wrists or even under your nose at bedtimes.
Salve is most potent within 6-8 months of making it.
