Tomato and Chilli Vinaigrette

From pantry to table, elevate your salad game with our Spicy Tomato Vinaigrette! Ideal for adding a kick to your favourite greens, grilled vegetables, or even as a marinade, this vinaigrette is sure to become a summer staple in your kitchen.

Ingredients and Method

Ingredients

  • 60ml balsamic vinegar
  • 5ml dijon mustard
  • 120ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 60ml tomato juice
  • pinch chilli flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. In your KilnerĀ® bottle, combine the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Shake until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the tomato puree or tomato juice with minced garlic and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add this tomato mixture to the base vinaigrette and whisk or shake vigorously to combine. Adjust the amount of chilli flakes based on your desired level of spiciness.
  4. Refrigerator for up to 1 to 2 weeks. Ā
