Mango & Chilli Salad Jar

This sweet and spicy mango & chilli salad Jar recipe is layered with fresh ingredients meaning it not only tastes great but looks amazing too. Take it with you on the go or brighten up your table at a summer BBQ. 

The Kilner® Food on the Go Jar is perfect for separating wet and dry ingredients and ensures your salads are kept crisp and fresh.

Ingredients and Method


  • 1 Mango, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 Fresh red chilli, de-seeded
  • Squeeze of Fresh Lime
  • 4 tbsp of Water
  • Grated Carrot
  • Chopped Red Pepper
  • Chopped Cucumber
  • Blueberries
  • Radish
  • Watercress


  1. Take half of the prepared mango and add to the blender along with chilli, lime juice and water. Season to taste and blend until smooth.
  2. Add your required amount of dressing to the bottom of your freshly washed Kilner® Food on the Go dipping pot.
  3. In the Kilner® jar, layer the fruit and vegetables starting with the wettest ingredients first; mango, carrot, cucumber, blueberries and radish. Top with the watercress.
  4. Fit your dipping pot into the Kilner® jar and store in the fridge until you are ready to eat.
