Cold Brew Coffee

Grinding coffee at home is the easiest way to the best flavour! We’ve partnered with climate-positive coffee roasters Two Chimps Coffee to find out how to grind coffee for a deliciously refreshing cold brew. Perfect for sunny days!

Ingredients and Method

Ingredients

  • 50g Coffee Beans - freshly roasted, specialty beans are best
  • 400ml Water
  • Ice

Method

  1. Adjust the star-shaped cog to set your Kilner Coffee Grinder to a coarse grind size. Pour the beans into the stainless steel hopper and turn the handle to grind the beans.
  2. Tip the ground coffee into your Kilner Clip Top Round Jar and add 400ml of cold water. Close the lid.
  3. Move the jar around gently to combine, but don’t stir.
  4. Pop the jar in the fridge and leave it for 18-24 hours.
  5. Place a filter paper over a container or jug and gently pour over the cold brew mixture. Store your cold brew concentrate in the fridge – it’ll keep quite happily for 2-3 days.
  6. To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour in the cold brew. You can add more water or some milk, if you like. Or try a little maple syrup!
