Classic Hummus

This quick and easy vegan hummus is packed with goodness and ready to serve in just 10 minutes. Serve with crunchy veggies for dipping, bread sticks or warm flatbreads.

Ingredients and Method

Ingredients

  • 1 can of chickpeas
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • olive oil (drizzled for serving)

Method

  1. Add the tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper into the jar.
  2. Add the silicone band to the masking basket and place on top of the jar.
  3. Decant 1/3 of the can of chickpeas at a time into the mashing basket and using the mashing tool, mash to desired consistency.
  4. Add seasoning and a drizzle of olive oil to taste.
  5. Add the lid to keep fresh in the fridge or serve from the jar directly.
