Flavoured Syrups

Chocolate Syrup


  • 250ml water
  • 240g sugar
  • 240g cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (optional)


Add the water, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt to a pan and stir until the sugar is dissolved.

Bring the mixture to the boil. After 3-5 minutes, the syrup will begin to thicken and this is when you should add the vanilla extract if you’re using it.

Allow to cool and decant in to a Kilner® 250ml Square Clip Top Bottle and keep in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
