Beetroot Hummus with Crudités

Beetroot Hummus is ideal for storing in the stainless steel pot of Kilner’s® Food On The Go Jar and makes the perfect mid-afternoon snack.

For 6 servings


For the Hummus

  • 400g/14oz drained and rinsed chickpeas
  • 250g/8oz cooked beetroot
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cumin
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin oil
  • 2 tablespoons creamed horseradish

For the Crudités

  • ½ red pepper, sliced into 5
  • ¼ carrot, sliced into 4
  • ½ cucumber, sliced into 6


Place all the ingredients besides the horseradish into a food processor and blend until smooth.

Transfer one portion into the stainless steel pot of your Kilner® Food On The Go Jar and put the crudités into the jar – keep refrigerated until use and then, enjoy!
