Infused Oil

Chilli, Thyme & Garlic Infused Oil

Ingredients (to fill a KilnerĀ® 550ml Square Clip Top Bottle)

  • 2 garlic bulbs
  • 3 chillies
  • 20g fresh thyme
  • 500ml oil of choice (preferably something light like sunflower/rapeseed)

Method

Separate the 2 garlic bulbs and peel the cloves (slice larger cloves in half).

Use 4 tbsps of olive oil to pan fry the garlic over a medium heat for 5-6 minutes, being careful not to burn. Drain the oil and add the garlic to the bottle.

Remove the stalk from the chillies, slice in half lengthways, and add these to the bottle too.

Pour your oil of choice into your bottle.

Lastly, thread the fresh thyme through the bottle, making sure it is fully immersed in the oil.

Notes:

Allow to infuse overnight, and store in the cupboard for 4-6 weeks.

To fill the 250ml Square Clip Top Bottle instead, just half the ingredients.
