Melt Down Your Easter Eggs

If you’ve got more Easter eggs than you can handle, why not try melting them down to make a dark and delicious chocolate ganache!

Whether you fancy spreading it all over a cupcake or eating it with a spoon, it will be your dark guilty pleasure, to enjoy when you fancy something sweet.

This simple recipe shows you how:

Ingredients:

  • Easter eggs or chocolate bars
  • Double Cream
  • Optional chilli powder
  • 1 Kilner jar

Method:

  • Break up your chocolate into a small heat resistant bowl.
  • Place the bowl over a simmering pan of boiling water.
  • Reduce heat and continue staring the chocolate until melted. Be careful not to burn it.
  • Meanwhile, slowly heat a small pan of double cream.
  • When the cream has come to the boil, whisk in the melted chocolate.
  • Add a tea spoon of chilli powder if desired.
  • Allow the mixture to cool and then carefully pour into your Kilner jar.
  • Seal and store in the fridge until your cravings kick in.
